Atalanta midfielder Marten De Roon was delighted with victory over Empoli.

Monday night's win marked De Roon's 250th appearance for La Dea.

De Roon later said: I'm getting old. It's a pride to reach this milestone. I'm physically well and, fortunately, I've suffered few injuries. I hope to continue like this and reach 300.

"The ranking after 10 rounds is good. Now some difficult matches are coming but we are happy to be there, we must continue to get results and we should use the whole squad.

"The bond with the fans is excellent. I feel good here and I would gladly end my career here."
