Atalanta coach Gian Piero Gasperini is excited seeing Italian football resuming.

La Dea meet Sassuolo on Sunday for the first game since the coronavirus suspension.

“It's a new situation for everyone and can be a return to some sort of normality, even if things have changed so much," said the coach in his press conference.

“We hope that we can give some contribution to that. The extent of what happened in Bergamo is difficult to comprehend, let alone react to. It turned everything upside down and we won't know for a while why the virus was so aggressive here.

"Hopefully, the fans can soon return to the stadium too."
