Aston Villa planning second attempt for Brentford attacker Said Benrahma

Aston Villa are determined to win the race for Brentford attacker Said Benrahma.

Foot Mercato says Villa are one of five Premier League clubs interested in the talented attacker.

Arsenal, Leicester, Chelsea and West Ham are said to be the other interested parties, with the report suggesting Brentford could be set for another 'major sale' after last summer selling Neal Maupay to Brighton for €20million.

Benrahma was linked with Villa throughout all of the 2019 summer window, with Villa balking at the £20m valuation.

That stems from the fact Villa boss Dean Smith was part of the recruitment set up which took him to Griffin Park and set him on his way to a stunning first season on English football.
