Aston Villa made a bid for Sporting CP attacker Pedro Goncalves last month.

O Jogo says Villa tabled an offer for Pedro, but it fell short of Sporting's valuation.

However, Villa remain keen and will try again in January.

Pedro recently signed a new deal to 2027, which carries a buyout clause of €80m.
