Aston Villa goalkeeper Emi Martinez has revealed he's pushing for European qualification this season.
Martinez has hit the ground running for Aston Villa since his £20million move from Arsenal in the summer, firmly establishing himself as Dean Smith's No1.
“My goal is to play in Europe, because I did not come here thinking that we are going to settle for not being relegated," the 28-year-old told DAZN.
“My ambition is to reach the Europa League and that is my goal, it is my dream, that's why I work, that's why I do everything I do.
“I know the history, I know the club and I know the ambition that the club has. They called me from day one and what's more, I said no to many teams to come here because my intuition told me to come here."
