Aston Villa defender Tyrone Mings admits confidence is surging through the squad.

Mings admits they're going for Europe this season.

"The level of consistency we're showing now is one that I certainly haven't been a part of since we've been promoted," Mings told Football Daily. "We started well in the Premier League when we came up, we started well under Steven Gerrard and we started well under this manager, but the differences obviously being our ability to maintain it.

"To adapt to different game plans, to pick up results at a times where people maybe wouldn't have thought we would have. We had two or three good results and two or three bad ones and of course, that can happen to anyone.

"But I guess the feeling at the moment is that we can go into the game and beat anyone or at least, give it a good go."
