Aston Villa boss Tim Sherwood remains confident signing Lille midfielder Idrissa Gueye.

Sherwood is hopeful Villa can secure the signature of Gueye this summer, despite hitting issues over a work permit.

He said: “It looks that way.

"We are hoping for him to sign. There are work permit issues but I think we'll be alright with that one."
