Aston Villa attacker Jhon Duran admits he's disappointed being blocked from Colombia's U20 World Cup squad.

Villa boss Unai Emery denied Duran joining Colombia for the Argentina-based tournament, which kicks off on May 20.

Duran wrote on Twitter: "I'm sorry about not being able to be part of this tournament as important as it is a World Cup for me personally and for the country.

"I just have to say to my teammates that God bless you and go make history that you all deserve it, you are all warriors. Proudly Colombian."

Duran has so far made 10 appearances off the bench since his January arrival.
