Arthur Vermeeren admits he's excited joining Atletico Madrid.

The former Antwerp midfielder signed for Atletico on Friday.

The teen said: "I'm very happy to be here. I can't describe my feelings, but I can't wait to get started.

"I think that all of us who come here want to play many games, win all the games we play and win as many trophies as possible. I want to win everything, I think it is possible in this great club.

"Yes, I spoke with (Axel) Witsel, I met the teammates. I spoke with him a little and it was a good and great conversation.

"I imagined many times playing for Atlético de Madrid. It's a great club, the passion, it's like a family and I really wanted to be here. I'm really looking forward to it."
