Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is ready to go with Martin Odegaard as new club captain.

With the departure of Alexandre Lacazette following on the back of January's exit for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Arteta has been seeking a new club captain for the coming season.

AS says the Spaniard has chosen Odegaard to lead the club.

The midfielder has been an Arsenal player for 18 months and produced career best form last season.

Arteta rates the Norway captain as a natural leader and is ready award Odegaard the captaincy.
