Antoine Griezmann has slammed Atletico Madrid's early season start.

Leganes held Atleti to a draw on Saturday.

"If we continue like this we'll be fighting against relegation," the forward said to beIN LaLiga in a post-match interview.

He also refused to blame the evening's poor showing on a lack of match fitness.

"I'm physically fine, but I'm upset at the result," he said.

It is the worst start to a season since Diego Simeone took charge at the club, with Atleti having taken four points from their first two games in 2012/13 and 2014/15, while in 2013/14 and 2015/16 they started with two wins from two.

"We need to wake up, keep working and get back to being ourselves as soon as possible," Griezmann added.
