Aston Villa winger Marc Albrighton admits Gabby Agbonlahor is keeping the squad together.

Villa have not had too much to laugh about in recent weeks but Albrighton claims Agbonlahor's sense of humour has lifted the players.

"He's very serious in interviews and I have heard people say he appears mardy, but without doubt Gabby is the comedy king," said Albrighton in the Sunday Mercury.

"He's the main prankster in the dressing room.

"If you're feeling a bit low or down, he's the first one to come over and try to put a smile on your face.

"That's whether he's bantering you or bantering someone else to make you laugh. He's always at it.

"If there's something that's happened in the dressing room, some kind of wind-up, you can guarantee if Gabby hasn't done it, then he knows who has or he's been a part of it. He's never far away! He's a real character."
