Albrighton hoping to make mark with 'perfect' Villa

Marc Albrighton is hoping he can make his mark as a top quality player with boyhood club Aston Villa.

The 22-year old winger has been in and out of Alex McLeish's eleven this season and has had to settle for a role off the bench with nine of his ten league appearances coming as a substitute.

But he is intent on shaking off the subs tag and becoming an elite footballer for the club he loves so much from his days growing up near Villa Park.

"I love Villa. It's my perfect club. It's the team I supported as a boy, it's around the corner from my house and it's a massive club. It doesn't get much better," he told the club's official website.

"It's what every kid would want. I couldn't imagine changing that.

"It does motivate me more being at Villa, the club where I want to make my mark.

"If you're playing for the club you have been brought up at, you want to repay your coaches who have brought you through.

"All my family are Villa through and through too so I want to repay them. I know they don't mind who I play for but I really want to repay them by wearing that Villa shirt."
