New Al-Nassr signing Sadio Mane has revealed that leaving Bayern Munich is not what he wanted.

The Senegal winger has accepted that he is not in Bayern's plans for the coming season.

He has agreed a four-year deal with the Saudi side, which he will sign in the coming days.

Mane only signed for Bayern last summer, leaving Liverpool after many successful seasons in England.

Mane told Sky Sports: "Leaving FC Bayern hurts me. I would have wished for a different ending. I know that I could have helped the team this season.

“I wanted to prove it to everyone this season. Nevertheless, I only wish the club and the fans the best for the future."
