Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero admits he always believed he needed to play in Europe before making a move to England.

Before moving to the Etihad Stadium, Aguero also enjoyed a successful stint at Atletico Madrid, where he scored 100 goals in 230 games over five years.

The 31-year-old added that it was always his plan to play in Europe before arriving in England.

He told Thierry Henry for Puma, "The Premier League is the best league in the world but at first, my wish was to go and play in Europe. I didn't think too much, it was just a wish. My goal was to train, train and play with the first team, then we'll see."
