Ibrahim Afellay made a start as Stoke City get eliminated from the Checkatrade Trophy at the hands of Bury.
Stoke City crashed out of the Checkatrade Trophy following a disappointing 3-1 defeat at the hands of Bury and truth be told the Potters were never in the game, having gone three goals down within the 19th minute.
As a minor positive from the game at Gigg Lane though, Ibrahim Affelay continued his road to full fitness by featuring for the entirety of the game and the Dutchman also grabbed the only goal of the clash for Stoke.
