Adu likely to again be a Philadelphia Union player - Hackworth

Philadelphia Union head coach John Hackworth suggests that talented forward Freddy Adu could still return to the club next season.

The 23-year olds future at PPL Park is in doubt after he started just over half of the Union's 34 MLS matches during the 2012 season but Hackworth is of the belief that the former whizkid will be wearing the gold and blue of Philly in 2013.

"I definitely think there's a chance Freddy will be back," Hackworth said. "Freddy and me continue to talk about our options going forward."

He added: "He's a young player that has a ton of potential. Everyone knows that. Nobody knows that more than I do. And nobody believes in him as much as I do.

"But the reality is he has to focus and he has to change some things in order for him to reach that full potential. And that's what this club needs. We don't want any part of a player that doesn't understand all of those demands."
