Zola eager for West Ham ownership to be settled

West Ham United boss Gianfranco Zola admits the club's ownership issues is affecting the players.

Straumur insist they are in no rush to sell the club after receiving a moratorium on their debts until September.

By extension, that also suggests they are under no pressure to cash in on major assets this January.

But midfielder Valon Behrami recently stated the off-field uncertainty was beginning to affect the players' performances and Zola wants the situation to be finalised as soon as possible.

"I think it would be good for everybody. It would stop so much speculation. For me to get involved in this speculation is not good for me and not good for the team," said Zola.

"In two days' time I have a very big match against Wolves and for me to talk about the players that might come in or that may go out certainly won't help the situation.

"What matters to me is that we win the game on Sunday, which is vital for us."
