Maurizio Sarri has made Lyon attacking midfielder Nabil Fekir his number one transfer priority.

Some much so that, according toSport Witness, the Chelsea boss has personally contacted Fekir over moving to Stamford Bridge.

The report claims Sarri made it known to Fekir that he would become a central figure in his Chelsea team and outlined the club's grand ambitions for the future.

Fekir almost joined Liverpool in the summer, and Bayern Munich are also believed to be interested in his services. Their interest has prompted Sarri to make sure he has first refusal.

Chelsea are now preparing an offer reportedly worth £50m to sign the 25-year-old.
