Arsenal legend Ian Wright has hit out at the critics of Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola.

Wright wrote for The Sun: "It is one of the comments I have grown sick of hearing over the past few weeks — and also one of the most ridiculous.

"All those who want to have a dig at Pep Guardiola — and there are plenty of them — are coming out with it.

"'Anyone could have managed Barcelona and won things,' they claim.

"Absolute rubbish.

"Just like it is absolute rubbish that Pep has been found out at Manchester City and that the Premier League is too difficult for him."
