Windass confirms he can leave Hull

Dean Windass has confirmed he's been told by Hull City he can leave on-loan.

"It's not true I've been released but assistant manager Brian Horton called me and told me the club were accepting offers to take me on loan," Windass wrote on itv.com. "That tells you all you need to know about my future here.

"So far one club, Hartlepool, has come in for me and I'm waiting to see how things develop.

"I'm going to talk over the move with my family over the next couple of days and take it from there."

Hull's decision to listen to offers comes amid rising tension between the player and manager Phil Brown.

Only hours earlier, Windass had claimed Brown was not speaking to him in the latest of a series of exchanges between the pair in the media.

"It's fair to say I'm getting very frustrated and I have no idea what is happening with my situation as the manager hasn't spoken to me for three weeks," Windass wrote.
