Wigan Athletic chairman Dave Whelan is set to secure a lucrative new shirt sponsor.
The Mirror says Whelan is ready to sign a big sponsorship deal with an internet bookie - which will replace his own company's name on the team's shirts.
Whelan has opted to take a 'very lucrative' package from Isle of Man-based 188bet.com, which wants to break into the online gambling business.
The veteran chairman has turned down previous offers to replace current sponsor JJB and was going to put his own DW Fitness and Sports name on the Wigan shirt.
