West Ham News: Moyes insists 'clean slate'; denies transfer decisions

New West Ham boss David Moyes has declared everyone has a "clean slate" with him.

Moyes is already taking charge of training after his appointment this week.

“It's a clean slate for the entire squad," said the 54-year-old. “They've all worked very hard this week and responded in a positive manner to everything we've asked of them.

“It will obviously take time for the players to fully understand our style and methods but the initial signs are very encouraging – they've bought into what we are trying to do and that's a good base for us to build on."

Meanwhile, Moyes insists no decision has been made over individual players.

Moyes added: “I'm looking forward to welcoming back the players who are on international duty and working with the full squad ahead of the game at Watford next Sunday

“Everybody will get their opportunity to impress us and there have certainly been no decisions made about individuals.

“There's a lot of quality here and I'm confident the players will all bring something different to the table. They will need to work hard but they aren't afraid of doing that, which has been good to see.

“Working together as a unit will be key, with the aim to try and collect positive results which will see us climb the table."
