Brentford preparing for Toney sale - Wissa

Brentford striker Yoane Wissa is confident they can replace Ivan Toney in the offseason.

Wissa's fellow frontman is set to depart in the summer for a club in the Champions League or Europa League.

While Wissa admits that losing Toney will hurt the team, he believes there is quality in the squad to adapt.

Brentford will also have £30 million signing Thiago, who will join from Club Brugge on July 1.

“Everyone is prepared for that," Wissa told The Standard.

“It's football life. Ivan is not immortal. We need to change at some point and [Thiago] will bring the team higher.

Brentford don't spend money for nothing, it's been four years we've been working together."
