West Ham United vice-chairman Karren Brady says Joe Hart's success at Birmingham City is proof loan signings in the Premiership work.

There are still some inside the game dead against Premiership clubs loaning players to eachother.

But Karren, discussing Hart's loan from Manchester City, told The Sun: "Joe's season provides further proof the introduction of loans within the Prem works for the players as well as the clubs.

"Without it, Joe would be a near-forgotten reserve goalkeeper at Eastlands rather than a potential No 1 for England at the World Cup."
