West Ham boss Slaven Bilic has praised West Brom for holding onto Saido Berahino this season.

Bilic wrote in the London Evening Standard: "What West Brom did with Berahino was brilliant. It is very hard to be that resilient.

"It was like the situation with John Stones at Everton, who rejected big money from Chelsea but still bought Ramiro Funes Mori for £9.5million.

"West Brom resisted Tottenham over Berahino but paid £15m for Rondon. Okay, Berahino might go in January but if so West Brom will do it on their terms. That is the best way to show to everybody that you are a serious, big club. "
