West Bromwich Albion are interested in a loan deal for Arsenal winger Serge Gnabry if they fail to land their primary target.
The Daily Mail reports that QPR are demanding £10million for winger Matt Phillips which might compel West Brom to look in different directions.
QPR director of football Les Ferdinand provided an update on transfer negotiations: "We had an offer come in for Matty Phillips that was well below what we value him at, so we turned the offer down. We also had an offer for Charlie (Austin) which, again, was not where we want it to be.
"If they continue to offer that kind of money then I'll be pleased because we'll end up keeping the players."
As a contingency, the Baggies are reportedly eyeing a season-long loan deal for Gunners starlet Gnabry.
German U21 international Gnabry, 20, is keen to get more game time next season after missing most of last year due to injury problems.
