Former Arsenal and Manchester United defender Viv Anderson says Unai Emery should give Marouane Fellaini a swerve.
Arsenal are serious about dealing in the United midfielder, whose contract expires in June.
But Anderson isn't convinced the experienced ace would be a savvy acquisition though.
“I don't know where you'd play Fellaini," he told the Daily Star.
“He's not really a holding midfielder and he's not a striker or midfielder. I'm not sure about him.
“He'd be okay as a squad player and they do need strengthening in all areas.
“Where Arsenal finished last year is not acceptable.
“Emery realises that and he's looking to get players in and improve things."
