Villarreal defender Raul Albiol says he wants to play on next season.

The 38 year-old central defender, who's contract ends this summer after completing his fifth season at the La Plana club, does not rule out continuing for another year, although he makes it clear that it is a decision that he must take hand in hand with the club.

"I will talk to the club and the coach and we will decide for next season. Right now I want to play because injuries have made me miss games and I just want to enjoy these last games of the season. Be ambitious, help the team and enjoy," says Abiol.

He added: "I want to play until I am 338 years old!

"So if they want to renew me, I will do it. The truth is that I want to finish well, for the team to finish as high as possible. Feeling that I am at a good level, that is what is important for me, so I only think about contributing the most in the last nine LaLiga games."
