Liverpool boss Klopp tells West Ham: Only winner today would have been us

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp insists they deserved more from today's 2-2 draw at West Ham.

However, he admits the point isn't enough for their title hopes.

Klopp said, "[One point not enough?] No of course not. The only winner today would have been us. We were in complete charge and control of that game. It was the fourth game in a ten day spell, it was tricky, we had to fight through it. You could see first half, good stuff but not the highest intensity, good control. Then you concede a goal out of the blue.

"Then we come out second half and are ready to turn it around, which I liked a lot. We scored an early one, a scrappy one I think and again in complete control, had chances around it and concede again.

"It is a bit the story of the last few weeks to be honest. Not always great, especially not at Everton, but other games really good and then we don't finish the situations off. In football things can look completely different. If you take the half chances from today then the game is already done. If you look at the situation, 75 points with still nine left to go for, we will try absolutely everything. We have tough opponents but we have a little longer to recover now, and we can do that and try again.
