Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill admits he's unsure if Brad Guzan is ready to step in as their new No1.

The American goalkeeper is joining Villa from Chivas USA, subject to a UK work permit.

Asked if he thought Guzan was ready to step into Scott Carson's shoes, O'Neill said: "That is a difficult question. He is dead keen to come. Only time will tell if he is good enough now, but he is up for the challenge just as he was a few months ago. And he is every bit as keen this time around."
