Aston Villa boss Alex McLeish will not give up on signing Rangers midfielder Steven Davis.
The Mirror says McLeish remains determined to bring Davis back to the club.
Villa's attempts to buy the Gers' playmaker on deadline day were rebuffed by the Scottish club.
But former Rangers manager McLeish has asked to be kept informed about the Ibrox ace, named SPFA 2010 player of the year.
Davis came through the ranks at Villa Park before joining Fulham in 2007 and then Rangers in 2008.
