Vertonghen says Spurs must keep fighting for top four

Tottenham defender Jan Vertonghen refuses to give up on finishing in the top four.

After defeat at Chelsea, Vertonghen accepts it is going to be a massive ask for Tottenham to finish in the top four with just nine games left this season.

"Is it over and out for the Champions League now? I'll never say that, but it's going to be hard," Vertonghen said.

Vertonghen was forced to play at left-back at Chelsea due to an injury to Danny Rose.

He added: "I was told on Friday. The coach decided to use this tactic, so I listened and did my best."
