Kolo Toure has described the potential of Arsenal as "frightening".

Toure told the Sunday Express: "Since I came here, Arsenal have always managed to play really good football and that's why we saw a lot of good players coming from this team - we have a manager who allows us to play.

"These days some people think it's only about winning, you can kick the ball forward long every time and miss out the midfield - but you will not have a lot of fans like that. You need to take some risks to make the fans happy because, in life, if you don't take some risks it will pass really easy. And that's what Arsenal try to do and that's amazing. We need to push those teams who like to play because that will bring some more people to the game - it will keep football alive.

"It is not only a business, we see football sometimes as just big money, but, for me, when I'm on the pitch I just enjoy playing football. It's a passion but some people forget about it - and Arsenal bring that back. that's why we have a lot of fans and they are really happy. It's true when you play like that you will win something and we are just waiting to win something - definitely.

"It's almost frightening really how good this young team, if they keep up their current progress, could become.

"Arsenal are preparing for something, preparing the future and it's fantastic. We're getting better every season, people don't mention that, and one day I think we will be top, really top. All the young players we have will get the maturity and experience and they will be really fantastic - it will be scary for other teams.

"At the start of the season nobody expected us to be where we are but Arsenal are preparing something special and we have already shown we are a strong team."
