Tottenham striker Emmanuel Adebayor is happy Hugo Lloris is now getting his chance.

Adebayor believes Lloris will quickly establish himself in the Premier League.

"I knew him well already and what he has done hasn't surprised me, because I know how good he is," said Adebayor, who is suspended for the game at White Hart Lane. "We've got four amazing goalkeepers, all good professionals working hard.

"We're happy for Lloris because he has already had some fantastic games. I knew about him when I was playing in France and I still love watching the French league, so I've known for a while how good he is. I am also good friends with [striker] Bafetimbi Gomis, who played with Hugo at Lyon, and he has told me a lot about him. We are very happy to have him and in the last couple of games, he has proved himself to be one of the world's best."
