Tottenham are ready to pounce for Newcastle United striker Demba Ba.

The Daily Mail says Ba's two-month window to leave Newcastle United for £7million starts on Thursday.

The Senegal star is expected to earn a cut of his transfer fee - around £2m - if he leaves the North East before July 31.

Tottenham are favourites to sign the 27-year-old, who joined Newcastle from West Ham last summer on a free transfer.
