Tottenham Hotspur forward Erik Lamela has revealed that he yearns for a return to River Plate.
Following a difficult start to life at Tottenham, Lamela finally seems to have settled at White Hart Lane and is producing a host of quality performances for Spurs.
Lamela has gone on to state that he is now happy at Tottenham but has revealed that he wants to a return to former club River Plate in the future as he feels he has some unfinished business.
Lamela said: "I feel much more confident. I am adapted, but English football isn't easy there is always something new that appears.
"In some ways it has helped [having Pochettino as manager], but I have also learned a lot from Andre Villas-Boas and Tim Sherwood.
"I feel that it's something that I owe to myself. I left River after the team had fallen down to Serie B. I have something that hasn't finished in my history with River. I owe to them who I am and I owe to myself to play there once I finish my European experience."
