Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp cannot rule out handing Jonathan Woodgate a new contract.
Injury-plagued Woody is off contract next month.
Redknapp said: "It's been tough for us having Ledley out for the past seven months, especially with Jonathan Woodgate missing the whole season.
"When they're fit, I reckon King and Woodgate are as good as Ferdinand and Vidic.
"Ledley's got another year on his contract but Woodgate is out of contract now, so I've got a tough decision to make there."
