Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp admits they face a Liverpool team tomorrow with three players he wanted to sign himself.

Redknapp has revealed he was interested in signing Liverpool new boys Andy Carroll, Luis Suarez and Stewart Downing.

Redknapp admitted: "We were in for them at different times over the last few years.

"We didn't quite push the boat out but they are good players."
