Tottenham boss Pochettino happy to stick with Ryan Mason

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino will stick with Ryan Mason for their Europa League tie with Besiktas.

The 23-year-old Tottenham midfielder finally made his league debut against Arsenal last Saturday - SIX YEARS after coming on as a late substitute in the old UEFA Cup against NEC Nijmegen, in November 2008.

Pochettino said: "Ryan is a big talent. It was difficult the last two or three seasons for him. He got different injuries and played in different clubs and was always on loan.

"But when we started pre-season, we felt something special from him, so we waited for the moment that he was ready to play and we gave him the chance.

"He is 23, but he is young and has never had the possibility to show his talent here.

"Now, he deserves it. He worked hard in pre-season and now it's important for him to use this opportunity to stay in the Premier League and in the squad."
