Torino defender Danilo D'Ambrosio has shrugged off talk of an Italy call.

The wing-back has been in impressive goalscoring form so far this season.

"The national side? Let's not joke around," the 25-year-old told the Gazzetta dello Sport. "My teammates are already having a laugh about the goals I have scored.

"Torino are my national side," he added. "We are doing well so far this season and we are just focused on Verona.

"Let us not get any strange ideas in our heads. The only objective here is the get 40 points, then if Italy boss Cesare Prandelli calls…"
