Chelsea skipper John Terry admits speaking with former teammates about the right time to retire.
Terry stressed that he will know when the time is right to quit -and recalled a conversation he had with French World Cup winner Marcel Desailly.
"He said to me that if the time is right, you must get out," said Terry. "And that is when you are at the top. Because you will remembered for those last years.
"I am feeling great at the moment. We are at Christmas and we are rolling on to the next season. I am feeling good so there is no reason why I have to look at that situation yet.
"Maybe over the years we have seen players go on a little bit too long. It is important to go out at the top, but that time is not here yet."
