Sunderland striker Bent tones down tweets for Spurs return

Sunderland striker Darren Bent is being careful with his Tweets leading up to his return to Tottenham.

The Daily Mail says in a bid to avoid any repetition of Bent landing in trouble ahead of his first game back at White Hart Lane, the striker has been urged to avoid any mention of Tottenham on his Twitter account, db10thetruth.

Bent, who has more than 14,000 followers on the social networking site, has so far kept his `tweets' to the weather, eating out and DJ-ing since Saturday's draw with West Ham. Any further exchanges will be carefully monitored by the club.

The striker, who has had a pair of boots specially made with the Twitter logo and his own name, hopes to be fully fit for the weekend after shaking off a knee injury to play in the 2-2 draw.
