Sunderland boss Poyet keen to deal in Anthony Reveillere

Sunderland boss Gus Poyet admits he's been impressed by French trialist Anthony Reveillere.

A free agent from Napoli, Reveillere has been training with the Black Cats this week.

Poyet said today: "He knows the role, he can go forwards.

"He was in Italy last year which is a different football.

"But he's very experienced and knows the game.

"He reads the game well, is comfortable on the ball and knows plenty of things.

"It's just a matter of seeing the physical side of England and seeing what he's going to get. Everybody knows that we were maybe a player short in defence.

"We were coping with the situation the best we can.

"But we're still short and we're looking at options. As soon as the transfer window finished, we were always looking at options.

"Anthony has great experience and is a very good professional.

"The idea was to see if he knows what he's going to get in England, if he can adapt and if he likes it.

"He's training with us and he looks very good. It's just a matter of seeing in the next few days if we can do something."
