The People says Black Cats boss Steve Bruce is keen on a reunion with his former Birmingham striker DJ Campbell.
The 29-year-old Blackpool hitman took his season's league tally to 13 goals yesterday and is certain to leave if his team are relegated.
Campbell has also been linked with Newcastle United.
