Suarez pays tribute to Liverpool captain Gerrard

Luis Suarez has paid a glowing tribute to Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard.

The 33-year-old was at the peak of his inspirational powers throughout 2013-14, spurring the Reds to a second placed finish in the Barclays Premier League.

"Everybody knows Stevie is important in my career," the Reds' No.7 told Sky Sports News.

"He's the best player in Liverpool history for me and I can say he's the best player I play with as well. He's the captain because he's helped the team, he helps the players, the staff, helps everything."
