Stoke City No2 Mark Bowen says they'll seek to ease Bojan Krkic into their system.
The former Barcelona striker arrived this week.
"Bojan has spoken to Marc Muniesa before he came to the place and Marc told him about the way we go about things," Bowen told TalkSport.
"Maybe he has found it difficult over the last two years.
"It has been suggested we paid £3million for him but that's not correct, it was a nominal fee to Barcelona and the way they conducted themselves in the negotiations was fantastic.
"We have got a lad who is 23-year-old and has already played over 180 games for Barcelona, Roma, AC Milan and Ajax.
"Maybe he needs someone to love him, put their arms around him and put some trust in him and that's the key and that's what we have got.
"The lad is ready to settle down, stay at a place and play some football. Stoke is a fantastic place to be, with a fantastic fan base which is a pleasure for our lads to play in front of.
"We are hoping this is a good signing for us."
