Stoke's Wilson 14 from 14 in FA Cup

Stoke City full-back Marc Wilson has never lost an FA Cup tie in what is a good omen for the club.

The 23-year old Irishman has played 14 matches in the competition and has yet to fail in England's famous cup ahead of the final between the Potters and Manchester City on Saturday.

Wilson had a perfect run with Portsmouth in the FA Cup last season but injured himself prior to the ill-fated final with Chelsea but now he is looking forward to being involved in the big day.

"A few people have said to me about it but I think as a player you don't really concentrate on that, you just try to take it game by game," he said.

"It was a bit of a nightmare for me last season. I played every game to get to the final. As a player it's frustrating when you're not involved but I had an injury so there was nothing I could do.

"I was gutted but there was no point in getting myself down about it.

"If it happens, it happens, you just have to get on with it," he said of a potential injury this week. "Obviously it would be very disappointing for it to happen two years on the spin.

"It's been a dream come true to get to the FA Cup final again so touch wood I don't miss this one."
