Stand-in skipper Walcott forgets Arsenal pennant for Sutton counterpart Collins

Arsenal's stand-in skipper Theo Walcott goofed up during the exchanging pennants with his Southend United counterpart Jamie Collins during the FA Cup tie between the two sides on Monday.

The England international, who wore the captain's armband on the night, forgot to bring his club's pennant during the pre-match hand-shake with Collins at the centre of the Gander Green Lane pitch before kick-off.

Collins handed Walcott a pennant in his side's yellow colours while Walcott stood there empty-headed.

However, Walcott more than made up for his mistake by scoring a goal - his 100th for the club - in his side's 2-0 victory.

It was also reported that Southend players would be given Arsenal's playing shirts after the historic match.
