Vincent Janssen has the quality to cover for the injured Harry Kane.

That is according to Tottenham Hotspur teammate Christian Eriksen who is of the belief that the Dutchman can lead the line while the star striker recovers from ankle ligament damage.

Janssen scored his first goal for Spurs in Wednesday night's EFL Cup win over Gillingham.

"I think he has shown before that he can step in for Harry," said Eriksen.

"Of course it will be difficult but if he does what he is good at and does what he did against Gillingham there will be some good games for him."
